Al DeMayo, LiteGear’s President and CEO here. Well, it has taken us years to finally focus some attention on creating product introduction and explainer videos. As long time filmmakers and lighting professionals we prefered to take the opportunity to create these films ourselves. As such, it took longer to begin than originally planned. We have embedded the videos below and are quite proud of them. We hope you like them too. I have also outlined the details of how we did it.
It all started with the deadline, NAB expo, April 24th 2017 in Las Vegas. Next, a cinematographer would be necessary as no typical cameraman would due. We got lucky and connected with a young DP called Ben Joyner. Ben is a few years out of film school and joined the LiteGear staff in November of 2016. Then the remaining crew just fell into place. I ended up being the on-camera host, directing and co-writing scripts with Paul Royalty who also handled producing tasks. James Flynn was our gaffer and on-camera lighting technician along with the rest of Team LiteGear as themselves. We shot with two GH4 cameras with camera movement from Dana Dolly. Our lighting setup was simply ten LiteMats, two of each size. No surprise there. All of our stage, studio, and location work took place at our Burbank facility, both interior and exterior. Adobe Premier on a souped up iMac was our post production gear commanded by again, DP Ben Joyner.
