WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

This role is responsible for all services (repairs/updates) performed on LiteGear products. The Service Tech will provide support for all returns, issue logs and electrical repairs. Additionally, the Service Technician will be a key bridge to new product development and sustaining engineering improvement ideas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess all returning products. Troubleshoot and identify technical repair needs.
  • Repair returning product from customers and rentals.
  • Maintain and track inventory needed for all servicing needs.
  • Work with customers directly on more in-depth troubleshooting and technical needs.
  • Communicate updates on all current projects, while accurately tracking them for the Service.
  • Able to visit on-location sites to diagnose and repair products for customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized tech repair desk atmosphere.
  • Collaborate as needed to develop technical service and instructive documents.
  • Participate in New Product Development activities to ensure end-product meets quality and serviceability needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Personnel on technical developments, product improvement recommendation, and road mapping as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Electronics technical repair experience a must.
  • Expert at wiring, soldering, as well as all other aspects of servicing LEDs and dimmers. IPC certification preferred.
  • A high attention to detail.
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble technical products based online drawings/schematics.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving experience.
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to create and document work performed.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Able to drive self-education from technical manuals and product overviews, and read electrical schematics.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • 2 years of experience within a technical manufacturing/production/repairs role preferred.
  • Experience in the lighting, manufacturing, or production industry preferred.

SALARY

  • $20/hr – $22/hr
